About



Cake decorating is something I stumbled across nearly a decade ago. I started out decorating cakes for family and friends. It’s been a slow burning obsession ever since.


Originally from Canada, my home is now Melbourne, Australia where I reside with my husband and two children. I’m kept busy and divide my time between being a mom, my career as a lampshade maker, and of course artisanal cake artistry.


I have a background in fine arts, love to travel, and am in love with middle eastern music and dance. I spent years working in kitchens during my travels and have always had a passion for cooking. I love that cake art allows me to do this as well as combine creativity and ingenuity.


Open to collaborating with clients, I love coming up with designs that incorporate their themes and vision into something totally original and utterly delicious. I get such a kick out of their smiles when they see their cake and do all that I can to meet and exceed their expectations.


Awards


I enjoy entering cake competitions when I can. It gives me the opportunity to try out designs that I may not get a chance to do for clients.  I love pushing myself to meet the challenge of creating a showpiece, try out new techniques as well as getting to really set free the wicked perfectionist streak that lurks within me. I also really enjoy the judges feedback. I think the overall experience has made me a better cake artist.
